3.30-5.30: SO YOU WANT TO WRITE A SCREENPLAY? (USEFUL AUTHORS & WRITERS) Join one of the UK's leading screenwriters who has written scripts for long established BBC series, ITV drama series, and most recently, written a drama series broadcast by SKY TV. Learn the basics of layout, content, narrative, humour and how to write effective episodes & narrative hooks.
Talk 3.30-4.30 followed by a workshop activity in which you convert your first couple of pages into screenplay.
3.30 - 6.00: WORKSHOPS. A mixed menu of different workshops, break out groups, and experiences will be announced as we get closer to the event. These will include such things as field trips, holistic health, mental well-being, creative workshops, and other such activities.
3.30-5.00 WANDERLUST FIELD TRIP A guided tour around the stunning Gothic Mansion of Strawberry Hill House. (Next door to the Uni) Learn about the history, ghosts and literary tradition of one of the nations most treasured stately homes. The birthplace of the English Gothic Literature movement. Take your camera. Fill your author notebook. PLACES ARE LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE and there is a £10 supplement for this workshop.
